The PM500X1BD mono amplifier uses 500 watts on a single channel. Its class BD technology helps improve efficiency ratings. This unit is designed to work with only mid-bass speakers or subwoofers since it has a dedicated low frequency response. It also has an auto turn-on circuit that makes it high level input capable, as well as an infrasonic filter that removes low, inaudible frequencies. The top-mounted controls are easy to use and include Punch EQ and C.L.E.A.N. (Calibrated Level Eliminated Audible Noise) set up. Excess noise is reduced with the RCA pass-thru outputs. The circuit board has been coated in epoxy to resist damage, while the stainless steel hardware protects all of the internal components. The PM500X1BD mono amplifier has a cast aluminum heat sink that resists overheating.
